In chemistry, nickel (LH:1), symbol Ni, the 27th element (Z:27) of the periodic table, is an atom comprised of 28 protons, 31 neutrons, and 28 electrons, with an electron structure: [Ar] 3d8 4s2 or [Ar] 3d9 4s1.

In humans, nickel is the 23th most dominant element, by mass composition (0.0002% mass), of the 26-elements in the standard human molecular formula.[2]
