In Oct 2020, Guy won the bi-annual Arthur Iberall Award for “Integration of Natural Science and Social Science", presented by the International Association for the Integration of Science and Engineering (IAISAE). [1]


Guy completed his BS in civil engineering in 1974, a degree in geological engineering in 1977, and a PhD in engineering in 1979, each at Mines ParisTech, followed by a Docteur d’Etat at University of Paris VI in 1989. Guy has been a professor and research at Saint-Etienne School of Mines since 1977. [2]
